UAE Fit-Out & Interior Trade Community

Community Rules and Terms of Use

These rules apply to every WhatsApp group in the Community. By joining or staying in a group, you accept them.

Version 1.0 Effective 6 August 2026 Licence 1458889
01

Who runs this Community

The Community is operated by ANEL&CO FOR TECHNICAL SERVICES CONTRACTING CO. L.L.C, a limited liability company registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, under trade licence No. 1458889 issued by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (the Operator).

The Community is run by the Operator as a company. It is not the personal project of any individual member, admin or moderator, and no admin acts in a personal capacity when moderating.

02

What this Community is, and what it is not

It is a place for contractors, suppliers, designers and consultants in the UAE fit-out and interior trade to ask questions, share knowledge and find each other. It is not:

  • a party to any deal, contract, quotation or engagement between members;
  • a broker, agent, introducer or guarantor for any member;
  • a verifier of any member's identity, licence, insurance, skill, solvency or honesty;
  • a provider of legal, financial or professional advice.

We do not check who members are and we do not endorse anyone. A member appearing here, being recommended here, or having posted here for years means nothing about their reliability. Every deal you make with another member is at your own risk and is between you and them alone.

Before you engage anyone you found here, run your own checks: trade licence, company registration, references, a written contract, and payment terms you can live with.

03

Posting rules

Allowed

  • Genuine questions, answers and discussion
  • Asking for a supplier, contractor or material
  • Requests for quotation
  • Sharing a contact when someone asks for one
  • Job vacancies, in the Jobs group
  • Photos of your own work, in the Showcase group
  • Ordinary conversation

Not allowed

  • Adverts, promo flyers, price lists, company profiles, business cards and bare links to your own site. A greeting carrying a company name counts too. The free Ads Group is the place for these.
  • Public accusations against a named person or company, see section 04
  • Passports, Emirates ID, visas, licences, bank statements, yours or anyone else's. A CV without a document scan is fine.
  • Screenshots of private one-to-one chats
  • Insults and personal attacks
  • Inviting members to another WhatsApp group
  • Spam, MLM and crypto schemes, phishing links, chain forwards

Moderation is automated. An AI assistant reads messages in the groups, may delete a message and may notify the sender privately. Repeated breaches lead to removal from the group.

04

Disputes between members — read this before you post

Business goes wrong sometimes. Somebody does not pay, somebody does not finish, somebody disappears. When it happens, do not post about it in the group.

This rule protects you, not the other side.

Under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 34 of 2021 on Countering Rumours and Cybercrimes, publicly accusing a person or a company of dishonesty over an online network is a criminal offence committed by the person who publishes it. Fines start at AED 250,000 and imprisonment is possible. Under UAE law, the fact that your accusation is true is not a defence.

Publishing a private chat, a call recording or another person's documents is a separate offence under the same law, even when you post it as evidence.

So the member who was cheated, and who then warns the group, is the member who ends up facing the case. That is why such messages are removed here.

What to do instead

  1. Keep everything: the contract or LPO, invoices, delivery notes, payment records, the WhatsApp history.
  2. Raise it with the other side privately, in writing, once.
  3. If that fails, use the legal route. Claims up to AED 50,000 go to the Small Claims track of the Dubai Courts. Larger claims go to the Dubai Courts, or the DIFC Courts if your contract says so. A dishonoured cheque can go straight to execution.
  4. You may also send the details privately to the admin. The admin cannot and will not judge who is right — no admin has the evidence, the authority or the standing for that. What the admin can do is remove a member from the Community. That decision concerns membership only, and is never a finding that anyone did anything wrong.

Asking neutrally whether anyone has worked with a company is allowed. Answering that question with an accusation is not. General advice with nobody named is welcome.

05

Moderation, removal and membership

Membership is free and granted at our discretion. We may delete any message, and remove any member from any group, at any time, with or without notice and with or without giving a reason. Removal is not a statement about that member's business, honesty or competence. We may keep a record of removed messages and moderation actions.

06

Your content and your responsibility

You are responsible for everything you post and you confirm you have the right to post it. You keep ownership of your content and you allow us to display, store, forward within the Community, and delete it. You must not post anything that infringes another party's rights, breaches a confidentiality obligation, or breaks UAE law.

07

Data and privacy

To run the Community we process your WhatsApp phone number, your display name and the messages you send in the groups. We use them only to moderate the groups, to enforce these rules, and to contact you about your membership. We do not sell member data.

Other members can see your number and anything you post. Treat every group as public. Do not post another person's personal data, their documents, their private chat, or their contact details without consent.

To have your data removed, leave the groups and write to us at the address in section 11.

08

Advertising

The Operator does not sell advertising in the Community and does not accept payment for any post. Adverts are free and belong in the Ads Group only. An advert is never an endorsement or a recommendation by the Operator. Advertisers are responsible for the accuracy and legality of their own adverts and for holding whatever licence their activity requires.

09

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by UAE law, the Operator, its owner, employees and admins are not liable for any loss, damage, cost or claim of any kind arising out of:

  • any dealing, contract, payment or dispute between members;
  • any advice, recommendation, contact or information posted by a member;
  • the conduct, solvency, licensing or performance of any member;
  • any content posted in the Community, whether or not it was moderated;
  • any interruption, removal or deletion of content, or removal from a group.

Nothing in these rules creates a partnership, agency, employment or joint venture between the Operator and any member.

10

Governing law

These rules are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai. Any dispute between a member and the Operator is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Dubai Courts.

11

Changes and contact

We may update these rules. The current version is always the one linked in the group description, and continuing to use the Community after a change means you accept it.
